GAT (General) is known as graduation assessment test which is conducted by NTS National Testing Service thrice a year. An eligibility criterion for test is that all such students who have passed their sixteen years of education they can apply for this general test. This test is just commenced for all such students who wish to apply for the MS admission and HEC scholarships scheme.
Candidates who want to improve their previous GAT score can also apply for GAT General Test. GAT General is also necessary for those candidates who want to apply for scholarships of HEC. The test is to be answered on computer readable answer sheet (OMR Sheet) by shading the circle for correct option for each MCQ.

There is no NEGATIVE MARKING in test. Different types of questions are asked in the GAT test that includes Antonyms, Analogies, Sentence Completions, Critical Reading, Quantitative Comparisons, Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and subject related MCQs. There are total 100 MCQs in each GAT test and the total time allowed for each category is 2 hours that is 120 minutes.
The passing marks are 50 percent in all categories of GAT General Test. It is necessary that students applying for GAT test 2013 should have enough knowledge about the paper pattern and syllabus of the test. Here is given below the pattern distribution of the in the form of table:

GAT General Sample Paper
