Independence Day 14 august celebrated at International Islamic University

Islamabad:Boys’ Wing of the International Islamic University (IIU), Islamabad, celebrated Independence Day 14 august under the theme of ‘Pakistan: the sunny side’ at its new campus.
Zumurrud Khan, managing director of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, was the chief guest on the occasion. Engineer Raja Sultan Zahoor Akhtar, one of the companions of Quaid-e-Azam, Parveen Qadir Agha, vice president of IIU, faculty members, administrative officers, staff members and students attended the event.

Zumurrud Khan while speaking on the occasion said Quaid-e-Azam dedicated his whole life for Pakistan and it was long and hard struggle of the Quaid and his companions, which at last resulted in the creation of Pakistan.

He paid rich tributes to martyrs, who laid their lives in twin suicide blasts on the premises of the university.

He announced a life-time stipend for family of Pervez Masih, who lost his life in saving lives of girl students of the university.

He also appealed to the IIU administration to name a full block after his name to enable coming generation to remember his name.
