Islamabad-This must be the first international calendar and diary that is not only Pakistan-specific but carries a very European touch, with bright colours and outstanding abstract art.
Recipients of this traditional gift from the Delegation of the European Union to Pakistan, have been touched and made aware of how the delegation is working in this country.
The calendar on its cover talks about Progress in Partnership and says that the Delegation of the European Union to Pakistan is exploring opportunities, finding solutions to promote economic activities through trade, farming, education, better health and many other programmes. Together the two welcome the future knowing well that the objectives are achievable.
Each month carries a heading of EU’s activities followed by colourful corresponding drawings.
What is very welcome is the December page on Renewable Energy. The EU supports Pakistan in taking up challenges like meeting energy requirements. It gives the backup support for developing alternative sources like the sun and wind.
Taking on a challenge of that scale demands a reliable partnership from beginning to end. EU provides it.
The accompanying diary is equally attractive displaying different themes based on different issues that the EU is working in partnership with Pakistan.
