ISLAMABAD (NNI): Chief Minister Main Shahbaz Sharif has directed the Education Department to register Private Educational Institutions and academies in 36 district of Punjab. For this purpose the provincial ministry has directed the local education departments for the registration of Private educational institutions and academies and ordered them to send report to the Provincial government. More than ten thousand private educational institutions are functioning in seven tehsils of Rawalpindi while 99 percent not fulfill the requirements and only one percent has fulfilled the criteria of Education department. Sources said that the decision has been taken for the registration of Private Educational Institutions and academies because many of them are substandard. The education department would receive registration fees from the institutions while the institutions would be fined which will not fulfill the requirements of the government. Sources said that majority Private Educational Institutions and academies in the Province are cheating students because they do not have qualified staff and science laboratories. Provincial Ministry of Education has directed the local education department for transparent registration campaign and ordered to send report as soon as possible.Frontier post
