Animal sciences M.Phil and PhD scholars from the Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, on Wednesday visited the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences under the inter-provincial exchange of students delegation programme of the Higher Education Commission.
The scholars visited various departments, laboratories and clinical services of the UVAS and interacted with teachers and students.
They also held an interactive meeting with vice-chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Nawaz.
The VC briefed the scholars about the academic and research activities of the university.
He especially told them about the new initiatives and degree programmes, including MBA life sciences and BS (Hons) courses.
The VC also sought views from the visiting scholars about possible research areas of collaboration between the two universities.
The scholars took keen interest in biotechnology, endocrinology, reproductive physiology and MBA life sciences programmes of the UVAS.
Later the scholars met faculty of veterinary sciences dean Prof Dr Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry and got a briefing on the academic and research programmes of the veterinary faculty.
COURSE:
The first certificate course in English language arranged by the UVAS Institute of Continuing Education and Extension concluded here on Wednesday.
