Islamabad-The sports field teaches us discipline, camaraderie and fairplay, said Qamar Zaman, former squash champion and vice-president of the Pakistan Squash Association, while talking as guest speaker at the Beaconhouse School System, Margalla Campus.
As part of the school’s regular guest speaker programme, the legendary sportsman gave an enlightening talk on Pakistan’s supremacy in squash, the training and requisite facilities, says a press release.
He emphasised that Pakistan has no dearth of talent, and motivated the students to be actively involved in the game and help revive the lost glory that Pakistan once enjoyed.
The students specially enjoyed the question and answer session with the guest and asked some interesting questions. One student asked whether there is any other option besides hard work to achieve grand success, to which a smiling Qamar Zaman replied that there are no shortcuts to triumph.
